What's happening

Its 2018! 2 years since Brexit and Trump and everyone is scrambling around trying to make sense of it all. New divides have been profited, such as the idea that we are either an anywhere or a somewhere.

New labels have been created (like the one I have taken to using "Conservatarian").

Intellectual friends are found in unlikely places, like between Sam Harris and Ben Shapiro.

Despite all these new found friends, the divides are clearer than ever. Even in otherwise calm Australia, funding a centre for western civilisation has become a major discussion point.

So what are these new divides? Is left and right still a valid classification? Is politics really as simple as "the hip pocket"?
